Athena Shoe Drive Drop Off Tomorrow 4/17

“Sen. Charles Schumer achieved a major victory for struggling families, cash-strapped state and local governments and local schools. The critical funding in this bill is essential to helping safely reopen schools and colleges and providing additional supports for students who need them.”
March is Women’s History Month and NYSUT Women’s Committee members statewide are highlighting the many achievements of women to celebrate.

Thanks to the extremely generous donations from Greece Teachers, Alumni, GASA, and other GCSD Staff, we were able to collect 1,272 lbs. of food and $4,450 in monetary donations for the Greece Ecumenical Food Shelf for the 2021 GTA Stuff-a-Bus!
The GCSD Food Shelf has a similar mission, and it’s something we also support on an ongoing basis through our Greece Teachers Community Programs. Monetary donations are always accepted through our PayPal account linked here. Please remember to click “Change” on the second step, and uncheck “Paying for an item or service.” That will ensure that 100% of your donation is submitted, without PayPal subtracting any fees. You can add “food shelf donation” to the note field. Checks sent to us at 120 Erie Canal Drive, Suite 320, Rochester, NY 14626 are great, too.
Thank you all for your support!
We did things a little differently this year, and our members, colleagues, and GTA Alumni came through in a big way for the Greece Ecumenical Food Shelf. We asked for monetary donations in lieu of food if possible, and we’re proud to report that the GTA 2021 Stuff-a-Bus Food Drive netted 1,272 lbs. of food and $3,706. Thank you everyone!
